Indipil 2.5 Tablet makes you lose excess water through urine. It may be used alone or in combination with other medicines. This medicine should be taken only during day time to avoid frequent urination at night. You must take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by the doctor and never stop it abruptly without consulting the doctor. Most people with high blood pressure do not feel ill, but if you stop taking this medicine, your condition could get worse.

It is important to have your blood pressure checked regularly. This medicine is only one part of a treatment program which should also include a healthy diet, regular exercise, smoking cessation, moderation of alcohol intake, and weight reduction. You can eat normally while taking this medicine, but try to reduce your salt intake.

Common side effects of this medicine include headache, nausea, dizziness, fatigue, and rashes. Consult your doctor if these side effects bother you. Taking Indipil with any of the following medicines can modify the effect of either of them and cause some undesirable side effects
Severe

Lithium carbonate (Oral Route)

Do not consume Lithium carbonate with Indapamide. If concurrent use is essential, your doctor may regularly monitor Lithium carbonate and potassium levels. Watch out for symptoms such as impaired coordination, double vision, dizziness, or confusion, and consult your doctor if you experience them. They may adjust the dose of Lithium carbonate accordingly.
Severe

Tacrolimus (Oral Route)

If concurrent use is essential, your doctor may monitor your tacrolimus levels, potassium levels and kidney function closely. They may adjust the doses as per the observations.
Moderate

Chloroquine (Oral Route)

Your doctor may monitor your potassium levels closely.

Dexamethasone (Oral Route)

If concurrent use is essential, your doctor may monitor your potassium levels along with your overall treatment and adjust the doses as per the observations.

The reason being, this medicine can increase the levels of uric acid in blood in these patients. Such patients may experience episodes of gout while on Indipil 2.5 Tablet. Your doctor may advise regular monitoring of uric acid.
Indipil 2.5 Tablet may increase blood sugar levels in diabetic patients. If you are sick or have fever with sweating or are experiencing vomiting or diarrhea, you should contact your doctor. To cope up with these, you may be advised to stop Indipil 2.5 Tablet for 2-3 days and continue it after you are well. The reason being, if you are sick, then there can be electrolyte imbalance.
