Side Effects of Foseal are Nausea, Vomiting, Abdominal pain upper, Flatulence, Constipation, Diarrhoea, Dyspepsia.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Foseal 400 mg Tablet is to be taken with food.
Foseal 400 mg Tablet inhibits the absorption of phosphate from the intestine and lower the phosphate levels in the blood.

- Foseal 400 mg Tablet is used to control blood phosphate level in patients that are on dialysis treatment.
- Take it with food to avoid an upset stomach.
- You may develop low levels of calcium, folic acid, and vitamins A,D,E, and K in your blood. Your doctor may prescribe supplements, if necessary.
- Avoid taking any other medicines within 1 hour before or 3 hours after you take Foseal 400 mg Tablet.
- Inform your doctor if you have nausea, vomiting, constipation, pain in the abdomen, or if you have undergone major surgery on your stomach.

Foseal 400 mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Foseal 400 mg Tablet is probably safe to use during lactation.
Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
It is not known whether Foseal 400 mg Tablet alters the ability to drive. Do not drive if you experience any symptoms that affect your ability to concentrate and react.
Foseal 400 mg Tablet is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Foseal 400 mg Tablet is recommended.
However, regular monitoring of calcium levels is advisable in these patients.
Foseal 400 mg Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Foseal 400 mg Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
If you miss a dose of Foseal 400 mg Tablet, skip it and continue with your normal schedule. Do not double the dose.
