How Fencol Injection works

Fencol 1 gm Injection is an antibiotic which stops the growth of bacteria. It does so by preventing synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions. This does not directly kill the bacteria, but prevents them from increasing in numbers, and eventually clears up the infection.

Alcohol
UNSAFE
Consuming alcohol while taking Fencol 1 gm Injection may cause symptoms such as flushing, increased heart beat, nausea, thirst, chest pain and low blood pressure (Disulfiram reaction).
Pregnancy
CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR
Fencol 1 gm Injection may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation
CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR
Fencol 1 gm Injection is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.
Driving
UNSAFE
Fencol 1 gm Injection may cause blurring of your vision for a short time just after its use. Do not drive until your vision is clear.
Kidney
SAFE IF PRESCRIBED
Fencol 1 gm Injection is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Fencol 1 gm Injection may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.

Loteprednol is used in the treatment of inflammatory and allergic conditions of the superficial layers of the eye, such as allergic conjunctivitis (allergic itching and redness of the whites of the eye, with tearing), conjunctivitis that occurs as part of acne rosacea (persistent redness over the areas of the face and nose), superficial punctate keratitis (inflammation of cornea), iritis (Inflammation of the interior eye structures), cyclitis (inflammation of cilliary body of the eye). It is also used in the treatment of postoperative inflammation of the eye after the eye surgery.Tobramycin is used as an injection for treating bacterial infections of the skin, heart, stomach, brain, spinal cord, lungs, and urinary tract (bladder and kidneys). It is also used in the treatment of cystic fibrosis. In the form of eye-drops, it can be used to treat eye infections.
