How to use Fam H2 Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Fam H2 20 mg Tablet is to be taken with food.

How Fam H2 Tablet works

Fam H2 20 mg Tablet is a H2 blocker (antacid). It works by reducing the amount of acid in the stomach which helps in relief of acid related indigestion and heartburn.

Alcohol
CAUTION
It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Fam H2 20 mg Tablet. Taking a large amount of alcohol can increase acidity and cause acid reflux in the food pipe causing heartburn. This would decrease the effect of this drug and can aggravate your underlying condition.
Pregnancy
PROBABLY SAFE
Fam H2 20 mg Tablet is probably safe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effect on the fetus, however, there are limited human studies. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation
Fam H2 20 mg Tablet is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Driving

Fam H2 20 mg Tablet does not usually affect your ability to drive.
Kidney
CAUTION
Fam H2 20 mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Fam H2 20 mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

What if you miss a dose of Fam H2 Tablet?

If you miss a dose of Fam H2 20 mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
