Distil AD 2 mg Tablet is an anti-diarrhoeal medication. It works by slowing down the contraction of the intestines thereby decreasing the speed at which the contents pass through it. This allows more time for reabsorption of fluids and nutrients, making the stools more solid and less frequent.
Distil AD 2 mg Tablet may cause excessive drowsiness and calmness with alcohol.

Distil AD 2 mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.

Human studies have shown that either the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in significant amount or is not expected to cause toxicity to the baby.
Distil AD 2 mg Tablet may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Distil AD 2 mg Tablet is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Distil AD 2 mg Tablet is recommended. However, inform your doctor if you have any underlying kidney disease.
