How to use Dbro Tablet
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Dbro 2.5 mg Tablet is to be taken with food.
How Dbro Tablet works
Dbro 2.5 mg Tablet treats increased prolactin level by decreasing the amount of prolactin in the body which helps in fertility and period problems. It treats acromegaly by decreasing the amount of growth hormone in the body. Researchers don't know how exactly it works in diabetes mellitus.

Alcohol
CAUTION
Dbro 2.5 mg Tablet may cause excessive drowsiness and calmness with alcohol.
Pregnancy
PROBABLY SAFE
Dbro 2.5 mg Tablet is probably safe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effect on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation
CAUTION
Dbro 2.5 mg Tablet is probably unsafe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggest that the drug could represent a significant risk to the baby.
Dbro 2.5 mg Tablet is usually not used during breastfeeding because it suppresses lactation.
Driving
Dizziness or weakness due to low blood pressure may occur in some patients while on Dbro 2.5 mg Tablet. If you are affected in this way, your ability to drive may be impaired.
Kidney
Dbro 2.5 mg Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Dbro 2.5 mg Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
Liver
There is limited information available on the use of Dbro 2.5 mg Tablet in patients with liver disease. Please consult your doctor.
However, a cautious use of this medicine is advised in these patients.

  • Dbro 2.5 mg Tablet is used to treat conditions caused by excess production of a natural hormone called prolactin such as infertility, or abnormal production of breast milk (galactorrhoea).
  • It should be taken with or after food to avoid side effects such as nausea or indigestion.
  • To lower the chance of feeling dizzy or passing out, rise slowly if you have been sitting or lying down.
  • Use caution while driving or doing anything that requires concentration as Dbro 2.5 mg Tablet can cause dizziness and sleepiness.
  • Do not take Dbro 2.5 mg Tablet if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • Regular monitoring of blood pressure and heart function (tests like echocardiogram), chest X-ray, and blood test may be advised before starting treatment and regularly during treatment with Dbro 2.5 mg Tablet.
