Cognolin is a stimulant which is used for acute period of ischemic stroke (sudden death of brain cells in a localized area due to inadequate blood flow), rehabilitation period after ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke, head injury and cognitive abnormalities at degenerate and vascular diseases of brain.
Cognolin is not known to increase blood pressure. Cognolin has shown to have a short-term hypotensive (blood pressure lowering) action. Talk to your doctor if you have raised blood pressure after taking Cognolin as it requires proper diagnosis and treatment.
