Cloxide 25mg Tablet is used in the treatment of short term anxiety and alcohol withdrawal.

How to use Cloxide Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Cloxide 25mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Avoid Cloxide 25mg Tablet with caffeine and chocolate as well as food containing caffeine and chocolate such as tea leaves, cocoa beans.

How Cloxide Tablet works

Cloxide 25mg Tablet is a benzodiazepine. It works by increasing the action of GABA, a chemical messenger which suppresses the abnormal and excessive activity of the nerve cells in the brain.

  • If you are taking Cloxide for the treatment of insomnia and anxiety, it should not be used more than 4 weeks.
  • It may become less effective over the time.

Missed Dosageuses

If you miss a dose of Chlordiazepoxide, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
