How to use Clotrin Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Clotrin 0.5 mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

How Clotrin Tablet works

Clotrin 0.5 mg Tablet is a benzodiazepine. It works by increasing the action of a chemical messenger (GABA) which suppresses the abnormal and excessive activity of the nerve cells in the brain.

Driving

Kidney
Clotrin 0.5 mg Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Clotrin 0.5 mg Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
Use of Clotrin 0.5 mg Tablet can cause excessive sleepiness in patients with end stage kidney disease.
Liver
Clotrin 0.5 mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe liver disease. Dose adjustment of Clotrin 0.5 mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

What if you miss a dose of Clotrin Tablet?

If you miss a dose of Clotrin 0.5 mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
