Clear Granules is used in the treatment of bacterial infections
It is used in infections of tonsils, sinus, ear, nose, throat, skin and soft tissues, windpipe and lungs (pneumonia).

How to use Clear Granules

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Empty the granules in a glass of water/milk, stir it and consume immediately. It can be taken with or without food, but it is better to take Clear Granules at a fixed time.
Avoid Clear Granules with tyramine-rich food such as cheese, smoked fish, meats and some types of beer.

How Clear Granules works

Clear granules is a macrolide antibiotic. It stops bacterial growth by inhibiting synthesis of essential proteins, which are required by bacteria to carry out vital functions.

  • Always take the complete course of treatment, as advised by your doctor even if you feel better.
  • Never take an antibiotic for a viral infection like a cold or the flu.
  • Can lead to nausea and diarrhoea frequently. If this becomes severe or persistent or you notice that your stool contains blood or mucus you should stop taking Clear immediately and consult your doctor.
  • Inform your doctor if you develop a rash or other unexpected symptoms.
  • Inform your doctor if you have ever been diagnosed with liver problems.

Missed Dosageuses

If you miss a dose of Clarithromycin, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Clarithromycin is a macrolide antibiotic, not a penicillin or fluoroquinolone
Clear is safe if used at prescribed doses for the prescribed duration as advised by your doctor
Clear can be used to treat bacterial vaginosis unless resistance has not been developed against clindamycin or any macrolide antibiotic (Clear. azithromycin, etc.)
Clear is gluten free. However, please refer to package insert of the prescribed brand before use. Clear is not a sulfa drug/does not contain sulpha
Q. Can I take clarithromycin with amoxicillin, paracetamol, ibuprofen, omeprazole, metronidazole or Nyquil?
Yes clarithromycin can be taken with amoxicillin, paracetamol, ibuprofen, omeprazole, metronidazole or Nyquil. Always consult your physician before use
Clear does not cause drowsiness when taken as prescribed. But, it may cause insomnia (sleeplessness) and thrush (infection of mouth caused by candida fungus)
When taken with birth control pills, Clear does not affect birth control.
