Uses of Clarithro Tablet XR
Clarithro 500 mg Tablet XR is used in the treatment of bacterial infections. It is used in infections of tonsils, sinus, ear, nose, throat, skin and soft tissues, windpipe and lungs (pneumonia).

How to use Clarithro Tablet XR
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Clarithro 500 mg Tablet XR may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Take it with food if you are experiencing stomach upset.
Avoid Clarithro 500 mg Tablet XR with tyramine-rich food such as cheese, smoked fish, meats and some types of beer.
How Clarithro Tablet XR works
Clarithro 500 mg Tablet XR is an antibiotic. It works by preventing synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions. Thus, it stops the bacteria from growing, and prevents the infection from spreading.

It is generally safe to consume alcohol with Clarithro 500 mg Tablet XR.
Pregnancy

Clarithro 500 mg Tablet XR may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation
SAFE
Clarithro 500 mg Tablet XR is safe to use during lactation. Human studies have shown that either the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in significant amount or is not expected to cause toxicity to the baby.
There may be a possibility of diarrhea or rash in the baby.
Driving
Clarithro 500 mg Tablet XR may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Kidney
CAUTION
Clarithro 500 mg Tablet XR should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Clarithro 500 mg Tablet XR may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Liver
Clarithro 500 mg Tablet XR is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Clarithro 500 mg Tablet XR may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
What if you miss a dose of Clarithro Tablet XR?
If you miss a dose of Clarithro 500 mg Tablet XR, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

u shouldn't take antibiotics without prescription, for simple cold n cough take syp corex-Dx 1 tsf tid, for cold DO STEAM INHALAION TWICE DAILY, WARM SALINE GARGLES, AVOID EXPOSURE TO COLD,TAKE REST tab levocet 1 tab bd for 5 days, take healthy diet to boost ur immunity comprising of proteins, vitamins particularly vit C, take plenty of fluids if not better in 3 days consult physician hope this helps, antibiotics are reserved only for bacterial infections , most cold like illnesses are viral so no need of antibiotics
