How to use Clamist Syrup

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. Clamist 0.5 mg Syrup may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

How Clamist Syrup works

Clamist 0.5 mg Syrup is an antihistaminic medication. It blocks the action of certain chemical messengers that are responsible for inflammation, congestion, itching, and other allergic reactions.

Alcohol
CAUTION
Clamist 0.5 mg Syrup may cause excessive drowsiness and calmness with alcohol.
Pregnancy
PROBABLY SAFE
Clamist 0.5 mg Syrup is probably safe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effect on the fetus, however, there are limited human studies. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation
CAUTION
Clamist 0.5 mg Syrup is probably unsafe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggest that the drug could represent a significant risk to the baby.
Larger doses or more prolonged use of Clamist 0.5 mg Syrup may cause sleepiness and other effects in the baby.
Driving
Clamist 0.5 mg Syrup may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Caution is advised when driving or operating machinery.
Kidney
Clamist 0.5 mg Syrup is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Clamist 0.5 mg Syrup may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
Liver
CAUTION
Clamist 0.5 mg Syrup should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Clamist 0.5 mg Syrup may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

What if you miss a dose of Clamist Syrup?

If you miss a dose of Clamist 0.5 mg Syrup, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
