Side Effects of Cardif are Fatigue, Ankle swelling, Sleepiness, Flushing (sense of warmth in the face, ears, neck and trunk), Headache, Nausea, Dizziness, Palpitations, Abdominal pain, Edema (swelling).
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Cardif 20 mg Tablet is to be taken with food.
Cardif 20 mg Tablet is a calcium channel blocker. It works by relaxing blood vessels which makes the heart more efficient at pumping blood throughout the body.

You have been prescribed Cardif 20 mg Tablet to improve your blood pressure and/or to reduce the number and severity of angina attacks.
Lowering blood pressure reduces the chance of future heart attack & stroke.
- It can cause ankle or foot swelling. Raise your legs while you’re sitting down and talk to your doctor if it does not go away.
A sudden drop in your blood pressure may occur, especially when you first start taking Cardif 20 mg Tablet. To lower the chance of feeling dizzy or passing out, rise slowly if you have been sitting or lying down.
- Take it at the same time every day to help you remember to take it.

Cardif 20 mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Cardif 20 mg Tablet is probably safe to use during lactation.
Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Cardif 20 mg Tablet may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive.
There is limited information available on the use of Cardif 20 mg Tablet in patients with kidney disease. Please consult your doctor.

If you miss a dose of Cardif 20 mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
