How to use Anxit Tablet SR

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Anxit 1 mg Tablet SR may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

How Anxit Tablet SR works

Anxit 1 mg Tablet SR is a benzodiazepine. It works by increasing the action of a chemical messenger (GABA) which suppresses the abnormal and excessive activity of the nerve cells in the brain.

Driving

Kidney
Anxit 1 mg Tablet SR is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Anxit 1 mg Tablet SR may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
Liver
CAUTION
Anxit 1 mg Tablet SR should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Anxit 1 mg Tablet SR may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

What if you miss a dose of Anxit Tablet SR?

If you miss a dose of Anxit 1 mg Tablet SR, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
