8 Signs Of Dehydration Everyone Must Be Aware Of!

Dehydration, in simple terms, means lack of water in the body. Our body is made up of around 60% of water and is essential for almost every bodily function that ranges from breathing to digestion. Water can be lost from the body due to excessive sweating on a hot summer day or exercising a lot. Even fever or excessive urination can cause a drop in the overall level of water in the body. You may show signs of dehydration even if there is a slight drop in the fluid balance in the body.

Dehydration can be dangerous. However, there are signs that can help you know if you are dehydrated or not. 1. Dry and rough skin

One of the common and most visible physical indicator that your body lack water is the changes in the skin. Loss of water through skin either through sweating or exposure to cold weather can cause the skin to become dry. 2. Dark-colored urine

The color of the urine can easily tell whether a person is dehydrated or not. People who are suffering from moderate to severe dehydration have dark-yellow colored urine whereas those with normal levels of hydration have light-yellow colored urine. Moreover, the frequency of urination is also a key sign of dehydration. When dehydrated, you might urinate less than normal. In severe cases of dehydration, you may not even pee. This is a sign of concern that indicates you should go to a doctor immediately.

3. Dry mouth and bad breath
