The ultrasound images aid in diagnosing and treating medical conditions like unexplained pain, swelling, or infection, detect damage or tumor in an organ. It is also helpful in checking the shape, size, and position of an organ.
It is a painless, safe, and non-invasive procedure. It does not use ionizing radiation and has no known harmful effects. It provides a clear picture of soft tissues that do not show up well on an X-ray.
