How to use Zynac Gel
This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Clean and dry the affected area and apply the gel. Wash your hands after applying, unless hands are the affected area.
How Zynac Gel works
Zynac Gel is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAID). It works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling).

Lactation
Zynac Gel is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
The baby's skin should not come into direct contact with the treated area of skin. Water-miscible cream/gel is preferred as ointments may expose the baby to harmful effects of Zynac Gel via licking.

Expert Advice

  • Zynac Gel is applied to the skin to relieve inflammation and pain of joints and muscles.
  • It is less likely to cause stomach side effects as compared to oral medication.
  • Gently massage it into the skin of the affected area.
  • Don't cover the area being treated with airtight dressings such as bandages as these may increase the risk of side effects.
  • Do not apply to broken, diseased, infected, inflamed or irritated skin, or to open wounds.
  • Avoid getting it in the eyes, mouth or nose. Rinse with cold water if you accidentally get it in these areas.
  • It may increase the risk of sunburn. Avoid exposing the treated area of skin to excessive sunlight.
  • Don't use it for longer than 14 days unless recommended by your doctor.
