How to use Vomistop Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Vomistop Tablet is to be taken empty stomach.

How Vomistop Tablet works

Vomistop Tablet is a prokinetic. It works on the region in the brain that controls vomiting. It also acts on the upper digestive tract to increase the movement of the stomach and intestines, allowing food to move more easily through the stomach.

Pregnancy

Vomistop Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the fetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation
SAFE
Vomistop Tablet is safe to use during lactation. Human studies have shown that either the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in significant amount or is not expected to cause toxicity to the baby.
Driving
Vomistop Tablet may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Kidney
CAUTION
Vomistop Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Vomistop Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Liver
CAUTION
Vomistop Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Vomistop Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Use of Vomistop Tablet is not recommended in patients with moderate and severe liver disease.

What if you miss a dose of Vomistop Tablet?

If you miss a dose of Vomistop Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Q. Can I take Vomistop with rabeprazole?

Vomistop can be safely taken with Rabeprazole as no harmful effects have been reported clinically. A fixed-dose combination of these two medicines is also available. Vomistop increases gut motility and Rabeprazole decreases the acid production in the stomach. So, this combination is very effective in the treatment of reflux esophagitis associated with acidity, heartburn, intestinal and stomach ulcers.
