How to use Vandep Gel

How Vandep Gel works

Vandep 0.1% Gel is a form of vitamin A which prevents accumulation of the sebum (skin’s natural oil), unblocks the pores and allows natural exfoliation of the outer layers of skin.

  • Avoid contact of cream/ gel with the eyes, lips, mouth or angles of the nose, and other sensitive areas of the body. 
  • Avoid excessive sun exposure and wear protective clothing while using adapalene topical. Use of sunscreen products and protective clothing over the treated area.
  • Tell your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant or are breastfeeding.
  • Do not use if you are allergic to adapalene or any of its ingredients.

Vandep 0.1% Gel is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
The baby's skin should not come into direct contact with the treated area of skin. Water-miscible cream/gel is preferred as ointments may expose the baby to harmful effects of Vandep 0.1% Gel via licking.
