Valsac 50 Tablet

Overview

Introduction

Valsac 50 Tablet is a prescription medicine used to treat certain types of heart failure. It reduces the risk of hospitalization and death due to long-term (chronic) heart failure. This is a combination of two medicines which relieves symptoms of heart failure by making it easier for the heart to pump blood throughout the body. It should be taken regularly and strictly as advised by your doctor. Lifestyle modifications like low sodium diet may help this medicine work better. It may be used alone or along with other heart medicines. Low blood pressure, dizziness, lightheadedness, cough, nausea and diarrhea may be seen as side effects in some patients. To reduce the chances of feeling dizzy, get up slowly if you have been sitting or lying down for a prolonged time. As this medicine may lower blood sugar levels, regular monitoring of blood sugar levels is advisable. This medicine may affect some patients' kidney function or increase the potassium levels. Hence, your doctor may advise you to get kidney function tests and potassium levels performed periodically. This medicine should not be used by pregnant or breastfeeding women as it may harm the developing baby.
