Uses of Azmarda Tablet
Azmarda 50mg Tablet is used in the treatment of heart failure. It reduces the risk of cardiovascular complications and hospitalization in patients with chronic heart failure and reduced ejection fraction.

How to use Azmarda Tablet
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Azmarda 50mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
How Azmarda Tablet works
Azmarda 50mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Sacubitril and Valsartan which belong to a class of Angiotensin receptor neprilysin inhibitor (ARNI). This combination treats heart failure by relaxing the blood vessels and making it easier for your heart to pump blood throughout your body. In addition, it also helps your body retain less water.

Pregnancy

Azmarda 50mg Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy.
There is positive evidence of human fetal risk, but the benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk, for example in life-threatening situations. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation

Driving
Azmarda 50mg Tablet may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Kidney
Azmarda 50mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Azmarda 50mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Regular blood pressure monitoring is recommended. No dose adjustment is needed in patients with mild to moderate kidney disease.
Liver
CAUTION
Azmarda 50mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Azmarda 50mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
No dose adjustment is recommended in patients with mild to moderate liver disease.

  • You have been prescribed Azmarda 50mg Tablet for the treatment of of long lasting (chronic) heart failure.
  • You should continue to stay active (light walking, stretching) and eat a healthy, low sodium diet along with taking this medication.
  • To reduce the chances of feeling dizzy, rise slowly if you have been sitting or lying down.
  • It may cause the level of potassium in your blood to go up. Avoid taking potassium supplements and potassium-rich foods such as banana and broccoli.
  • Inform your doctor if you have a history of liver or kidney diseases.
  • Do not take Azmarda 50mg Tablet if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Hi! My diagnosed me with Tinea Cruris which is like a red patch between my thighs near my genitals so he recommended me ITRASYS-200 MG (Twice Daily) for 30 days and gave an ointment EBERNET-M. After taking them the Tinea was almost gone when suddenly I had a breakout again and it itches a lot. I would appreciate your opinion on this matter. FAQs

Q. Who should avoid taking Azmarda?
Azmarda should avoided in patients who are allergic to any of its component or had allergy symptoms with the use of ACE inhibitors or ARBs. It should not be used along with other antihypertensives medicine like ACE inhibitor or ARBs. Do not take it for at least 36 hours before or after you take an ACE inhibitor medicine. Talk with your doctor before taking Azmarda if you are not sure about anything.
Q. What should I tell my doctor before taking Azmarda?
Tell your doctor about all of your medical conditions, including liver or kidney disease, history of facial swelling (angioedema), pregnancy, or breastfeeding. Also inform about all the medicines you are taking; especially the potassium supplements or its medicine salt, pain killers, blood pressure or heartfailure medicine such as ACE inhibitor, ARBs, or Aliskerin
Q. Can I use Azmarda in pregnancy?
No, Azmarda should be avoided in pregnancy. If pregnancy is detected, stop using Azmarda and contact your doctor immediately. Azmarda can cause injury and death to the developing fetus.
Q. How would I know if I have high potassium level?
Your doctor will check your blood potassium levels periodically for high potassium levels (hyperkalemia). Make sure that you don't miss any future appointments to the doctor.
