It can be taken with or without food, but it is better to take Uniclor mr 375mg tablet at a fixed time.
Uniclor mr 375mg tablet may cause symptoms such as flushing, increased heartbeat, nausea, thirst, chest pain and low blood pressure with alcohol (Disulfiram reactions).
Uniclor mr 375mg tablet is probably safe to use during pregnancy.
Either animal studies have shown no adverse effect on the fetus, but there is no human studies or animal studies have shown an adverse effect that was not confirmed in human studies. Please consult your doctor.

Cefaclor(375 mg)


Uniclor mr 375mg tablet is used to treat respiratory tract infections such as inflammation of tonsils (tonsillitis), nasopharynx (area of the upper throat that lies behind the nose), throat (pharyngitis) or air passages (bronchitis), lung (pneumonia); sinus infection (sinusitis), urinary tract infections such as urinary bladder infection (cystitis) or kidney infection (pyelonephritis); skin and soft tissue infections, and middle ear infections (otitis media).

How it works

Uniclor mr 375mg tablet belongs to a group of medicines called cephalosporin antibiotics. It kills the bacteria by interrupting the bacterial cell wall (outer coating of bacteria) formation. As a result, the bacterial cell wall is weakened and ruptures, thereby killing the bacteria.

Do not start or continue the cefaclor and consult your doctor:
  • If you have diarrhea, stomach infection, or a blood clotting disorder.
  • If you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant or are breast feeding.
  • If you have a metabolic disorder caused by a deficiency in the production of the liver enzyme phenylalanine (phenylketonuria).
  • If the infection is not found to be because of bacteria or when it is used for prevention of infection.
