Sustinex 30 Tablet can be taken with or without food. This medicine should only be taken if you have been diagnosed with premature ejaculation by a doctor. It is usually advised to be taken 1 to 3 hours before anticipated sexual activity. Do not take it more than once a day. Follow your doctor’s instructions while taking this medicine.

Some common side effects of this medicine include headache, dizziness, nausea, diarrhea, and fatigue. Some people can develop erectile dysfunction with this medicine. Let your doctor know if any of the side effects persist or worry you. Do not drive or do anything that requires focus (e.g., working with heavy machinery) until you know how this medicine affects you, as some people can develop dizziness and sleepiness as side effects.

Do not take Sustinex 30 Tablet if you have heart problems (like heart failure or problems with the heart rhythm), have ever had depression or mania, or are currently taking medicines for depression. Before taking it, you should tell your doctor if you have epilepsy (seizure disorder or fits), liver or kidney disease, glaucoma, or have had dizziness/fainting (syncope) due to low blood pressure in the past. These may affect your treatment.

Kidney

CAUTION

Sustinex 30 Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment may be needed.
However, use of Sustinex 30 Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe renal disease.

Liver

SAFE IF PRESCRIBED

Sustinex 30 Tablet is safe to use in patients with liver disease. No dose adjustment is recommended.
However, use of Sustinex 30 Tablet is not recommended in patients with moderate to severe liver disease.

Interaction with drugs

Taking Sustinex with any of the following medicines can modify the effect of either of them and cause some undesirable side effects

Life-threatening

Tranylcypromine (Oral Route)

Concomitant use may cause an increase in blood serotonin levels. Patients may experience agitation, increased body temperature, fast heartbeat, muscle rigidity, and loss of coordination.

Severe

Indinavir (Oral Route)

Do not consume Dapoxetine with Indinavir. If concurrent use is essential, your doctor may monitor your treatment and adjust the doses as per the observations. Indinavir may raise blood levels of Dapoxetine and its active form.

Severe

Ziprasidone (Oral Route)

Watch out for symptoms such as tremors, fever, diarrhea or agitation and consult your doctor if you experience them. Your doctor may discontinue the medicines accordingly.

Vortioxetine (Oral Route)
