  • Do not start or continue haloperidol, if you are allergic to haloperidol or any other ingrediants in the formulation.

  • Do not use haloperidol, if you have Parkinson’s disease; low white blood cells levels.
  • Avoid using haloperidol, if you have liver or kidney disease, fits, depression, problems with your thyroid gland, a non-cancerous tumour of the adrenal gland (phaeochromocytoma; causing episodic or persistent rise in blood pressure).
  • Do not drive or opeate heavy machinery as haloperidol can make you sleepy and impair your alertness.

Taking haloperidol together with alcohol may increase side effects such as dizziness, drowsiness, confusion, and difficulty concentrating.

Lactation
CAUTION
Serenace 10 mg Tablet is probably unsafe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggest that the drug could represent a significant risk to the baby.
If Serenace 10 mg Tablet is used, monitor the baby for excessive sleepiness.
Driving
Serenace 10 mg Tablet may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Kidney
SAFE
Serenace 10 mg Tablet is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Serenace 10 mg Tablet is recommended.
However, patients with severe kidney disease may need to be started at a lower dose as it may cause excessive sleepiness in these patients.
Liver
CAUTION
Serenace 10 mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Serenace 10 mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
