Quick tips

  • Avoid drinking fruit juices (such as grapefruit, apple, or orange juice), as they may affect the absorption of this medicine and reduce its effectiveness.
  • Avoid taking antacids within 30 minutes of taking this medicine. They can make it harder for your body to absorb it.
  • Never give this medicine to someone who appears to have a similar illness. It should be taken only if prescribed by a doctor.
  • Do not drink alcohol while taking this medication, as it may increase the risk of sleepiness. Although this medicine is less likely to reach the brain and generally causes minimal sedation, alcohol may enhance its effects.
  • Stop taking Selfex 120mg Tablet at least 3 days before undergoing an allergy test. This medicine can affect the test results.
  • If you have seasonal allergies, keep windows closed during high-pollen or high-wind periods. Take more care, especially in the early morning when pollen counts are typically highest.
  • Stop taking the medication and contact your doctor immediately if you notice a rapid heartbeat, an irregular pulse, or palpitations.

It is also effective in managing hives and urticaria by blocking histamine (a chemical released during allergic reactions).
It is important to inform your doctor about any existing medical conditions and medications. Also mention if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy, or breastfeeding. Providing a complete list of prescription and non-prescription medicines to your doctor helps them identify possible interactions.
Selfex 120mg Tablet can be taken at any time of day, but taking it at the same time each day helps maintain a consistent level of medicine in your body. Some people prefer taking it in the morning for daytime allergy symptoms.
