Satrogyl-O Tablet is used in the treatment of diarrhoea
. It treats diarrhoea of mixed infection in adults.
Side Effects of Satrogyl-O are Nausea, Vomiting, Stomach pain, Loss of appetite, Dizziness, Headache.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Satrogyl-O Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Satrogyl-O Tablet is a combination of two antibiotics: Satranidazole and Ofloxacin. Satranidazole kills parasites and anaerobic bacteria that cause infections by damaging their DNA. Ofloxacin works by preventing the bacterial cells from dividing and repairing, thereby killing the bacteria. Together, they treat your infection effectively.

Yes, the use of Satrogyl-o can cause dizziness (feeling faint, weak, unsteady or lightheaded) in some patients. If you feel dizzy or lightheaded, stop what you are doing and sit or lie down for sometime or until you feel better and do not drive or use any machines.
Q. Can I take Satrogyl-o along with Ibuprofen?
Few patients have had a seizure (fit) when taking anti-inflammatory medicines (ibuprofen) with quinolone antibiotics (ofloxacin). This is very unlikely to happen. But to be safe, don’t take ibuprofen with one of these antibiotics unless your doctor has told you to take it.

Alcohol should not be consumed while you are taking this medicine as it may lower the blood pressure and causes dizziness and lightheadedness.
