Uses of Satrogyl-O Tablet
Satrogyl-O Tablet is used in the treatment of diarrhoea and dysentery. It treats diarrhoea of mixed infection in adults.

How to use Satrogyl-O Tablet
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Satrogyl-O Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
How Satrogyl-O Tablet works
Satrogyl-O Tablet is a combination of two antibiotics: Satranidazole and Ofloxacin. Satranidazole kills parasites and anaerobic bacteria that cause infections by damaging their DNA. Ofloxacin works by preventing the bacterial cells from dividing and repairing, thereby killing the bacteria. Together, they treat your infection effectively.

Pregnancy

Satrogyl-O Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation
CAUTION
Satrogyl-O Tablet is probably unsafe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggest that the drug could represent a significant risk to the baby.
Driving
Satrogyl-O Tablet may make you feel dizzy, drowsy or affect your vision. Do not drive until your vision is clear.
Kidney
CAUTION
Satrogyl-O Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Satrogyl-O Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Liver
CAUTION
Satrogyl-O Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Satrogyl-O Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

Hello, please start syp zinconia 5ml once daily for the next 10 days. Also darolac sachet one sachet orally twice daily for the next 5 days. Give ORS, coconut water and lemon water to drink.London is not used in children and do not use it.

Hello, generally oral intake decreases when the child is ill. Encourage intake of fluids to drink.Also start darolac sachet half sachet orally twice daily for next 5 days.

Q. Can the use of Satrogyl-O cause dizziness?
Yes, the use of Satrogyl-O can cause dizziness (feeling faint, weak, unsteady or lightheaded) in some patients. If you feel dizzy or lightheaded, stop what you are doing and sit or lie down for sometime or until you feel better and do not drive or use any machines.
Q. Can I take Satrogyl-O along with Ibuprofen?
Few patients have had a seizure (fit) when taking anti-inflammatory medicines (ibuprofen) with quinolone antibiotics (ofloxacin). This is very unlikely to happen. But to be safe, don’t take ibuprofen with one of these antibiotics unless your doctor has told you to take it.
Q. Can I take alcohol while taking Satrogyl-O?
Alcohol should not be consumed while you are taking this medicine as it may lower the blood pressure and causes dizziness and lightheadedness.
Q. Can i take Satrogyl-O while im breast-feeding?
The use of Satrogyl-O should be used with caution in nursing mothers as it can lead to serious side-effects. You should always consult your doctor before taking the Satrogyl-O.
Q. Can I take Satrogyl-O if I have diabetes?
If you take Satrogyl-O while taking insulin or some other diabetes medication, you are at risk of having low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) due to ofloxacin in it. Check your blood sugar often. If your blood sugar gets too low, stop taking the medicine and call your doctor. A change in the dose or medication may be needed.
Q. What are the instructions for storage and disposal of Satrogyl-O?
Keep this medicine in the container or pack it came in, tightly closed. Store it at as mentioned on the pack or label. Dispose off the unused medicine. Make sure it is not consumed by pets, children, and other people.
