How to use Renace Tablet
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Renace 25 Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
How Renace Tablet works
Renace 25 Tablet is an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB). It relaxes blood vessel by blocking the action of a chemical that usually makes blood vessels tighter. This lowers the blood pressure, allowing the blood to flow more smoothly to different organs and the heart to pump more efficiently.

Alcohol
CAUTION
Taking Losartan with alcohol may excessively lower the blood pressure.
Pregnancy
WEIGH RISKS VS BENEFITS
Renace 25 Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy.
There is positive evidence of human fetal risk, but the benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk, for example in life-threatening situations. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation
Renace 25 Tablet is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Driving
It is not known whether Renace 25 Tablet alters the ability to drive. Do not drive if you experience any symptoms that affect your ability to concentrate and react.
Kidney
SAFE
Renace 25 Tablet is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Renace 25 Tablet is recommended.
However, talk to your doctor if you have any underlying kidney disease. Regular monitoring of blood pressure is recommended for better dose adjustment.
Liver
CAUTION
Renace 25 Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Renace 25 Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Use of Renace 25 Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease.
What if you miss a dose of Renace Tablet?
If you miss a dose of Renace 25 Tablet, skip it and continue with your normal schedule. Do not double the dose.

  • Lowering blood pressure reduces the chance of future heart attack & stroke.
  • It may also be used to treat chronic (long-standing) heart failure.
  • It protects kidney function, which is especially useful for people with diabetes or mild-to-moderate kidney diseases.
  • Renace 25 Tablet can make you feel dizzy for the first few days. Take it preferably at bedtime and rise slowly if you have been sitting or lying down.
  • Renace 25 Tablet may cause the level of potassium in blood to go up. Avoid taking potassium supplements and potassium-rich foods such as banana and broccoli.
  • Do not take Renace 25 Tablet during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Tell your doctor if you become pregnant while taking Renace 25 Tablet.
