Uses of Reditux RA Infusion

Reditux RA 500 mg Infusion is used in the treatment of non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL), rheumatoid arthritis, blood cancer (chronic lymphocytic leukemia), granulomatosis with polyangiitis and microscopic polyangiitis.

How Reditux RA Infusion works

Reditux RA 500 mg Infusion is a monoclonal antibody. It works by targeting the unwanted activity of immune cells (B cells) in rheumatoid arthritis and certain types of cancers.

Interaction with alcohol is unknown. Please consult your doctor.
Pregnancy
WEIGH RISKS VS BENEFITS
Reditux RA 500 mg Infusion may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation
Reditux RA 500 mg Infusion is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Driving
It is not known whether Reditux RA 500 mg Infusion alters the ability to drive. Do not drive if you experience any symptoms that affect your ability to concentrate and react.
Kidney
Reditux RA 500 mg Infusion is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Reditux RA 500 mg Infusion may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
Liver
There is limited information available on the use of Reditux RA 500 mg Infusion in patients with liver disease. Please consult your doctor.
Use of Reditux RA 500 mg Infusion is not recommended in patients with the active liver disease or those who had viral hepatitis as it can reactivate the infection.

Expert Advice

  • It is given as a drip (intravenous infusion) by your doctor or nurse.
  • You may be given some painkillers, antihistamine and possibly steroids before the drip to help prevent infusion reaction.
  • Your doctor may get blood tests done to check for hepatitis B before treatment and to monitor your blood cells during treatment with this medicine.
  • Inform your doctor immediately if you notice any signs of infection such as fever, sore throat or rash.
  • Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to conceive or breastfeeding.

I am facing a joint & muscle pain for last 1.5 months. For addressing this I took Acnec tab for 10 days which considerably lowered the pain. But it reoccurred after discontinuing the same. Then i went for the blood test as suggested by my physician, salient points of test reports are as below:- Heamoglobin - 14.3 ; WBC -8900; CBC- (MPV-7.7 , NORMOCYTIC, NORMOCHROMIC) ; ESR-33, URIC ACID-6.8 ; RA-329.4 ; CRP -14.7 NOW AS SUGGESTED BY MY PHYSICIAN I AM TAKING HEALTHY DIET, DOING REGULAR EXERCISE & WALKING ALONG WITH FOLLOWING MEDICINES- CARTIGEN 1500, ETOSPHINE 90 & DOXY-1L-DR-FORTE NOW PAIN IS VERY MILD IN ANKLE, SHOULDERS & FINGER JOINTS. IS THIS THE CASE OF RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS OR SOMETHING ELSE? PLEASE SUGGEST FURTHER NEEDFUL.
