What are the serious side effects of Ranx 500 Tablet ER?

Ranx 500 Tablet ER may cause changes in the electrical activity of the heart, which is known as QT prolongation. Your doctor may get regular tests done to check the electrical activity of your heart. Tell your doctor right away if you feel faint or lightheaded or if your heart starts beating irregularly or fast, as these may be symptoms of QT prolongation. Ranx 500 Tablet ER may also cause kidney failure in patients who already have kidney problems. Therefore, your doctor may need to do tests to check how your kidneys are working.

I started taking Ranx 500 Tablet ER about a week ago. Now I have noticed that my urine has become very dark, though I am taking plenty of fluids. Is there anything to worry about?

Dark urine while taking Ranx 500 Tablet ER is not a common side effect, but it can sometimes happen. Monitor for other symptoms like yellowing of the skin/eyes (jaundice), severe fatigue, nausea, or unusual muscle pain. Yes, it is safe to take the Ranx 500 Tablet ER and metoprolol together. Ranx 500 Tablet ER has minimal effect on blood pressure in patients with angina.

I am a diabetic and am taking metformin. My doctor has prescribed Ranx 500 Tablet ER, is it safe to take both together?
