Piraflox 100 mg Tablet is used in the treatment of bacterial infections. It is also used in infections of urinary tract, tonsils, sinus, nose, throat, female genital organ, skin and soft tissues, windpipe and lungs (pneumonia).
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Piraflox 100 mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Piraflox 100 mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Piraflox 100 mg Tablet is probably unsafe to use during lactation.
Limited human data suggest that the drug could represent a significant risk to the baby.
Piraflox 100 mg Tablet may make you feel dizzy, drowsy or affect your vision. Do not drive until your vision is clear.
Piraflox 100 mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Piraflox 100 mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

If you miss a dose of Piraflox 100 mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
Piraflox does not affect birth control. No interactions have been seen when Piraflox is used with contraceptive pills. However, always talk to your doctor if you are asked to take any medicines when you are also taking birth control pills.

Piraflox is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic and it works by killing the bacteria (bactericidal) that cause infections.
Q. Can I take Piraflox with paracetamol?
Piraflox can be taken with paracetamol. No drug-drug interactions have been reported between the two. However, interactions can occur. Please consult your doctor before taking the two medicines together.
Q. Can I take Piraflox with ibuprofen?
Piraflox when taken with Ibuprofen, can increase the risk of some side effects. There are a few reports of seizures or fits when these ibuprofen has been taken with Piraflox. Please consult your doctor before taking the two medicines together.
