Ostriol Capsule helps increase intestinal absorption of calcium and phosphate, raises low blood calcium levels, and supports proper bone mineralization. These help in the management of calcium deficiency and metabolic bone diseases such as renal osteodystrophy, hypoparathyroidism, and osteoporosis.
Ostriol Capsule is also beneficial in increasing muscle mass, helps in the prevention and treatment of hypocalcemia, and helps in reducing fatigue and muscular pains. It boosts immunity and increases body resistance against infection.
This medicine is to be taken in the dosage as advised by the doctor. Consult your doctor if you plan to take any other form of vitamin D along with this medicine.
This medicine is generally tolerated with little or no side effects. In patients with kidney disease, dose adjustment may be required. Discussed with your doctor. Avoid or limit the consumption of alcohol while on treatment with this medicine.

In renal osteodystrophy and secondary hyperparathyroidism due to chronic kidney disease, it improves calcium absorption, corrects hypocalcaemia, and lowers elevated parathyroid hormone levels, helping reduce bone pain and skeletal changes. In hypoparathyroidism and rickets, it restores calcium and phosphate levels, supporting normal bone development and strength. In post-menopausal osteoporosis, it increases calcium absorption and supports bone mineral density, helping reduce the risk of vertebral fractures.

Taking Ostriol with any of the following medicines can modify the effect of either of them and cause some undesirable side effects
