Odirox 300 mg Tablet is used in the treatment of bacterial infections. It is used in infections of tonsils, sinus, ear, nose, throat, skin and soft tissues, windpipe and lungs (pneumonia).

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Odirox 300 mg Tablet is to be taken empty stomach.

How Odirox Tablet works

Odirox 300 mg Tablet is an antibiotic. It works by preventing synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions. Thus, it stops the bacteria from growing, and prevents the infection from spreading.

Driving

Kidney
Odirox 300 mg Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Odirox 300 mg Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
Liver

Odirox is an antibiotic and belongs to the group of antibiotics known as macrolides. Odirox prevents bacteria from growing, by interfering with their protein synthesis.
Q. Can I take Odirox with food?
Odirox is to be taken on an empty stomach at least 15 minutes before a meal. The Odirox tablets should be taken with good amount of water.
Q. Does Odirox treat streptococcal throat infection?
Odirox is used to treat throat infection caused by Streptococcus pyogenes. It is also indicated for other upper respiratory tract infections like tonsillitis and sinusitis. If you think you are suffering from a streptococcal throat infection, please consult your doctor as it requires proper diagnosis before the start of antibiotics.
