Uses of Nifelat Capsule
Nifelat 10 mg Capsule is used in the treatment of high blood pressure and chest pain (Angina).

How to use Nifelat Capsule
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Nifelat 10 mg Capsule may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Nifelat 10 mg Capsule is a calcium channel blocker. It works by relaxing blood vessels which makes the heart more efficient at pumping blood throughout the body.

Pregnancy

Nifelat 10 mg Capsule may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation
SAFE
Nifelat 10 mg Capsule is safe to use during lactation. Human studies have shown that either the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in significant amount or is not expected to cause toxicity to the baby.
Driving
Do not drive unless you are feeling well.
Nifelat 10 mg Capsule may make you feel dizzy, faint, extremely tired or have visual disturbances. This may affect your ability to drive.
Kidney
SAFE
Nifelat 10 mg Capsule is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Nifelat 10 mg Capsule is recommended.
However, talk to your doctor if you have any underlying kidney disease.
Liver
CAUTION
Nifelat 10 mg Capsule should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Nifelat 10 mg Capsule may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
What if you miss a dose of Nifelat Capsule?
If you miss a dose of Nifelat 10 mg Capsule, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

  • Lowering blood pressure reduces the chance of future heart attack & stroke.
  • It can cause ankle or foot swelling. Raise your legs while you’re sitting down and talk to your doctor if it does not go away.
  • A sudden drop in your blood pressure may occur, especially when you first start taking Nifelat 10 mg Capsule. To lower the chance of feeling dizzy or passing out, rise slowly if you have been sitting or lying down.
  • Take it at the same time every day to help you remember to take it.
