Nemocid Tablet is an antihelminthic medication. It is used in the treatment of worm infections. It works by killing the worms that cause infection. The killed worms are then passed in the stool.

Product introduction

Nemocid Tablet should be used in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. It can be taken with or without food, preferably at a fixed time. Avoid skipping any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose. Simply take the next dose as planned.


Some people may experience headaches, dizziness, nausea, abdominal pain, and vomiting as side effects of this medicine. Please consult your doctor if these side effects persist for a longer duration.


You may be monitored with blood tests and liver function tests throughout your treatment. Nemocid Tablet should be used with caution in individuals with liver disease. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before using Nemocid Tablet. Avoid use in children under 2 years unless prescribed.


If you experience allergic reactions, severe stomach pain, or persistent vomiting, seek medical help immediately. Always follow the prescribed dose and consult a doctor before combining it with other medications.

Nemocid Tablet is an antibiotic medicine which helps treat parasitic worm infections. It works by killing the worms and stopping the further growth of parasites causing the infection. These killed worms are then passed out along with stools. This medicine usually makes you feel better quite quickly. However, you should continue taking it as long as it is prescribed even when you feel better, to make sure that all parasites are killed and do not become resistant. This medicine is generally safe to use while pregnant or breastfeeding, but you should ask your doctor.

  • It can be harmful to an unborn baby. Do not take it during pregnancy. Use birth control measures to prevent pregnancy while taking Nemocid Tablet.
  • Your doctor may monitor your blood counts and liver function before you start taking this medicine and regularly throughout your treatment.
  • Do not skip doses and finish the prescribed course, even if you start to feel better. Stopping it early may increase your risk of further infection.

Interaction with drugs

Taking Nemocid with any of the following medicines can modify the effect of either of them and cause some undesirable side effects
Severe

Piperazine (Oral Route)

Do not consume Pyrantel Pamoate with Piperazine. Piperazine may reduce the efficacy of Pyrantel Pamoate.
Moderate

Aminophylline (Oral Route)

Your doctor may monitor Aminophylline levels along with your overall treatment and adjust the doses as per the observations. Pyrantel Pamoate may raise blood levels of Aminophylline.
Moderate

Aminophylline (Injection Route)

Your doctor may monitor Aminophylline levels along with your overall treatment and adjust the doses as per the observations. Pyrantel Pamoate may raise blood levels of Aminophylline.

Theophylline (Oral Route)
