N Gyl Kid Tablet


Overview

Introduction

N Gyl Kid Tablet is a combination of two antibiotics that effectively treats diarrhea and dysentery. It treats the infection by killing the microorganisms.


N Gyl Kid Tablet is a prescription medicine that can be taken with or without food. Take the medicine in the dose and duration advised by your doctor. Do not consume more than the recommended dose, as this may have harmful effects on your body. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. The treatment must be completed even if you feel better.

N Gyl Kid Tablet may lead to some side effects such as nausea, dryness of mouth, stomach upset, etc. To overcome any such side effects, it is advised to eat a healthy balanced diet and drink plenty of fluid. If any of the side effects get aggravated, contact your doctor immediately. In cases of severe liver or kidney disease it is advised to consult your doctor before you start with the treatment. It is strictly advised not to drive or operate heavy machinery while you are on the treatment.

How N Gyl Tablet works

N Gyl Kid Tablet is a combination of two antibiotics: Metronidazole and Norfloxacin. Metronidazole kills parasites and anaerobic bacteria that cause infections by damaging their DNA. Norfloxacin works by preventing the bacterial cells from dividing and repairing, thereby killing the bacteria. Together, they treat your infection effectively.

Q. Can the use of N Gyl cause dryness in mouth?

Yes, the use of N Gyl can cause dry mouth. If you experience dry mouth, drink plenty of water. Take regular sips during the day and keep some water by your bed at night. You may use lip balm if your lips are also dry.

Q. Can I take N Gyl while breastfeeding?

N Gyl should be used with caution in nursing mothers as metronidazole passes into breast milk and could give the milk a bitter taste. Although it is not generally expected to be harmful, but you should always consult your doctor before taking N Gyl.

Q. Are there any specific conditions in which N Gyl should not to be taken?

The use of N Gyl should be avoided in patients with known allergy to any of the components or excipients of this medicine.

Q. What if I don't get better after using N Gyl?

Q. What if I miss my dose?

Take N Gyl as soon as you remember it. However, do not take it if it's almost time for your next dose. Also, do not take an extra dose to make up for your missed dose.

Q. Can the use of N Gyl cause metallic taste?

Yes, the use of N Gyl can cause a temporary metallic taste. This metallic taste can be reduced by chewing sugar-free gum or mints, brushing teeth after the meals and by staying hydrated.

Q. Can the use of N Gyl cause nausea and vomiting?

Yes, the use of N Gyl can cause nausea and vomiting. Taking it with milk, food or with antacids can prevent nausea. Avoid taking fatty or fried foods along with this medicine. In case of vomiting, drink plenty of water or other fluids by taking small frequent sips. Talk to your doctor if vomiting persists and you notice signs of dehydration, like dark colored and strong-smelling urine and a low frequency of urination. Do not take any other medicine without speaking to your doctor.
