How to use Mycotuf C Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Mycotuf C 250 mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

How Mycotuf C Tablet works

Mycotuf C 250 mg Tablet is an antibiotic. It kills bacteria by preventing them from forming their own protective covering (cell wall) which is required for their survival in the human body.

Interaction with alcohol is unknown. Please consult your doctor.
Mycotuf C 250 mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Mycotuf C 250 mg Tablet is safe to use during lactation. Human studies have shown that either the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in significant amount or is not expected to cause toxicity to the baby.
Mycotuf C 250 mg Tablet does not usually affect your ability to drive.
Mycotuf C 250 mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Mycotuf C 250 mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Use of Mycotuf C 250 mg Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.

No, do not stop taking Mycotuf C and complete the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Your symptoms may improve before the infection is completely cured.
