It can be taken with or without food, but it is better to take Monocef o suspension at a fixed time.
Monocef o suspension may cause symptoms such as flushing, increased heartbeat, nausea, thirst, chest pain and low blood pressure with alcohol (Disulfiram reactions).
Monocef o suspension is probably safe to use during pregnancy.

Cefpodoxime(100 mg/5ml)


Monocef o suspension is a cephalosporin antiboitic with similar structure as that of penicillin. It is used in the treatment of certain  bacterial infections in the body like urinary tract infection, sexually transmitted disease (gonorrhea), lung infection (pneumonia), kidney infection (pyelonephritis), sinusitis, skin or soft tissue Infection, inflammation of tonsils (tonsillitis), sore throat (pharyngitis), and upper respiratory tract infection.

How it works

It works by interfering with the formation of the outer covering (cell wall) of bacteria so that the wall ruptures and results in the death of the bacteria.
