Melavel Solution is a medicine used along with controlled ultraviolet light for effective treatment of certain skin diseases like vitiligo and psoriasis.
Melavel Solution is for external use only. Use It only under the direct supervision of your doctor. The affected area should be clean and dry before application. You must wash your hands thoroughly before and after applying this medicine. This medicine should be used regularly to get the most benefit from it. Do not use more than you need as it will not clear your condition faster and some side effects may be increased. If your condition goes on for longer than four weeks or gets worse at any time, let your doctor know. You can help this medication work better by keeping the affected areas clean.
Common side effects include redness of the skin, blisters on the skin, swelling, and itching at the site of application. In case of direct contact, wash your eyes with water and seek immediate medical attention.
The most common side effects of this medicine include burning, irritation, itching, and redness at the site of application. Melavel Solution is not recommended for children below 12 years of age. Avoid eating certain foods like limes, figs, parsley, parsnips, mustard, carrots, and celery, as they may increase the skin's sensitivity to light.
Psoriasis is a condition where the skin cells in the body grow too quickly and form scales and dry patches. They can grow anywhere, but most appear on the scalp, elbows, knees, and lower back. Melavel Solution reduces the scaly, itchy patches along with other symptoms of inflammation such as redness, swelling, or irritation which may develop on the different parts of the body. Use it for as long as it is prescribed to get the most benefit. It may take several months to become fully effective. You should avoid drinking alcohol while having this treatment and drink plenty of water to stay hydrated.
In Vitiligo
Vitiligo is a condition in which the skin loses its natural color in patches. Melavel Solution effectively blocks that process in the skin that leads to discoloration. It also reduces any redness, rash, pain, or itchiness that may be caused by this condition. This improves your self-esteem and confidence as your appearance changes. You should always use it as prescribed to get the full benefits.

Hello. Welcome to 1mg. I have read your query. I understand your concern. I prefer to advise oral psoralens for extensive vitiligo. For limited vitiligo, topical steroids help. I hope it helps. Take care
