It can be taken with or without food, but it is better to take Megamac 125mg tablet at a fixed time.
It is generally safe to consume alcohol with Megamac 125mg tablet.
Megamac 125mg tablet is probably safe to use during pregnancy.
Either animal studies have shown no adverse effect on the fetus, but there is no human studies or animal studies have shown an adverse effect that was not confirmed in human studies. Please consult your doctor.

Azithromycin(125 mg)


Megamac 125mg tablet is an antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections of the nose, throat, lungs, bronchitis, ear, skin, soft tissues, and sexually transmitted genital and urinary infections.

How it works

Megamac 125mg tablet inhibits growth of bacteria by stopping its protein synthesis.

Expert advice for MEGAMAC

  • Do not  Azithromycin with food. Take it  1 hour before or 2 hours after food
  • Do not take Azithromycin if you are allergic to azithromycin, erythromycin , roxithromycin or clarithromycin
  • Do not take any antacids containing magnesium or aluminium for up to 2 hours before and after taking this drug.
  • Consult your doctor before taking this drug if you are pregnant or breast feeding
