Meftal-Spas Tablet

Meftal-Spas Tablet should be taken with food. This will prevent you from getting an upset stomach. The dose and duration will depend on what you are using it for and how well it helps your symptoms. Use it regularly and do not discontinue it unless the doctor tells you.

Common side effects of Meftal-Spas Tablet include dizziness, dry mouth, blurred vision, nausea, diarrhea, headache, and sleepiness. If you experience any of these side effects and they do not go away or become worse, inform your doctor. Your doctor may be able to suggest ways to prevent or reduce these side effects. The dose of Meftal-Spas Tablet depends on the severity of your pain or spasms, your age, and your overall health. It is usually taken 2 or 3 times a day to help relieve abdominal pain and spasms. However, your doctor will decide the right dose and duration of treatment for you.

Take Meftal-Spas Tablet exactly as prescribed, and do not exceed the recommended dose. Use it only for the duration recommended by your doctor. If your symptoms do not improve or worsen during treatment, consult your doctor.

Missed Dose

If you miss a dose of Meftal-Spas Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Overdose

Overdose can cause cardiac arrhythmia, lethargy, drowsiness, nausea, vomiting, dilated pupils, epigastric pain, muscle weakness, and paralysis.

In case of overdose, standard measures may be used to remove any unabsorbed drug. Symptomatic and supportive care should be provided as needed.

• Do not combine Meftal-Spas Tablet with other NSAID painkillers unless advised by your doctor.
• Dry mouth may occur; frequent mouth rinsing, hydration, or sugar-free gum may help.
• This medicine may cause either constipation or diarrhea in some people. Consult your doctor if symptoms become severe or persistent.
• Drink enough fluids, especially if you have cramps or diarrhea.
• Stop taking Meftal-Spas Tablet and seek urgent medical help if you notice black stools, vomit blood, or have severe stomach pain.
• Seek medical advice if abdominal pain is severe, persistent, or associated with fever, vomiting, or blood in stools.
• Inform your doctor if you have glaucoma, urinary retention, enlarged prostate, or bowel obstruction before taking Meftal-Spas Tablet.
• Stop using Meftal-Spas Tablet and seek medical help if allergic reactions such as rash, swelling, or breathing difficulty occur.
• Use Meftal-Spas Tablet only for the duration advised by your doctor. Do not use it for long periods without medical advice.
