Uses of Mapzolide Tablet

Mapzolide Tablet is used in the treatment of serious bacterial infections
It is used for the treatment of bacterial infections of lungs (Pneumonia), and some infections in or under the skin.

Side effects of Mapzolide Tablet


Diarrhoea, Headache, Nausea, Vomiting.


How to use Mapzolide Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Mapzolide Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Avoid Mapzolide Tablet with tyramine-rich food such as cheese, smoked fish, meats and some types of beer.

Mapzolide tablet is an antibiotic. It stops the bacterial growth by inhibiting synthesis of essential proteins, which are required by bacteria to carry out vital functions.

Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Mapzolide Tablet is probably usafe to use during lactation.
Limited human data suggests that the drug could represent a significant risk to the baby.
Mapzolide Tablet may make you feel dizzy, drowsy or affect y
our vision. Do not drive until your vision is clear.
Mapzolide Tablet is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Mapzolide Tablet is recommended.

However, talk to your doctor if you have any underlying kidney disease.
Mapzolide Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe liver disease. Dose adjustment of Mapzolide Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

Limited information is available on the use of Mapzolide Tablet in these patients. No dose adjustment is recommended in patients with mild to moderate liver disease.
