How to use Lad Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Lad Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

How Lad Tablet works

Lad Tablet is an antihistaminic medication. It treats allergy symptoms such as such as itching, swelling, and rashes by blocking the effects of a chemical messenger (histamine) in the body.

Pregnancy

Lad Tablet is probably safe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effect on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation
SAFE
Lad Tablet is safe to use during lactation. Human studies have shown that either the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in significant amount or is not expected to cause toxicity to the baby.
Because of its low milk levels and lack of sleepiness, use of Lad Tablet would not be expected to cause any adverse effects in breastfed babies.
Driving

Lad Tablet does not usually affect your ability to drive.
Kidney
CAUTION
Lad Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Lad Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Liver

Lad Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Lad Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

What if you miss a dose of Lad Tablet?

If you miss a dose of Lad Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

For kids, Montair LC is available as Montair LC KID tablet and Montair LC KID syrup. It contains Montelukast (4mg) and Levocetrizine (2.5mg). Montelukast is used to prevent and treat asthma, seasonal and year round allergies (hay fever), and prevent exercise-induced asthma. Levocetirizine is used to treat symptoms of allergic conditions such as allergic fever (hay fever), year-round allergies like dust or pet allergies and chronic nettle rash. It is best to take the drug at bedtime as it can make you drowsy.

No, Lad is antihistaminic drug which may have anticholinergic properties and it is not narcotic/ antibiotic

Yes, but patient should follow the advice of doctor regarding its use

Yes, but taking other antihistaminic medicines like diphenhydramine/Zyrtec/Benadryl /Day quil/ Zoloft / Mucinex may alter the effects of loratadine. Ibuprofen, Nyquil may alter levels of loratadine. You can take loratadine with amoxicillin. Always consult your doctor for the change of dose regimen or an alternative drug of choice that may strictly be required
