L Zolide 600mg Tablet is an antibiotic medicine used in the treatment of severe bacterial infections. It is used to treat infections of the lungs (pneumonia), skin, and soft tissues.
L Zolide 600mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, preferably at a fixed time. You should take it regularly as per the schedule prescribed by your doctor. Taking it at the same time every day will help you to remember to take it. Do not stop taking it until you have finished the complete course, even when you feel better. If you stop taking this medicine too early then infection may return or worsen.
The most common side effects of L Zolide 600mg Tablet include vomiting, headache, nausea, decreased blood cell counts, and diarrhea. These are usually mild but let your doctor know if they bother you or last more than a few days.
Before using it, you should tell your doctor if you are allergic to any antibiotics or have any kidney or liver problems. L Zolide 600mg Tablet is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of L Zolide 600mg Tablet is recommended.
However, talk to your doctor if you have any underlying kidney disease.
L Zolide 600mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe liver disease. Dose adjustment of L Zolide 600mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Limited information is available on the use of L Zolide 600mg Tablet in these patients. No dose adjustment is recommended in patients with mild to moderate liver disease.
What if you forget to take L Zolide Tablet?
If you miss a dose of L Zolide 600mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
