How Ketanov Injection works

Ketanov Injection is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAID). It works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling).

Ketanov Injection related warnings

Alcohol
CAUTION
It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Ketanov Injection. Taking Ketorolac with alcohol increases the risk of stomach bleeding.
Pregnancy
WEIGH RISKS VS BENEFITS
Ketanov Injection may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the fetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation
CAUTION
Ketanov Injection should be used with caution during lactation. Breast feeding should be held until the treatment of the mother is completed and the drug is eliminated from her body.
Driving
Do not drive unless you are feeling well.
Ketanov Injection may make you feel dizzy, tired or drowsy, you may also get headaches, visual disturbances, vertigo or have difficulty sleeping. This may affect your driving ability.
Kidney
CAUTION
Ketanov Injection should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Ketanov Injection may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Use of Ketanov Injection is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.
Liver
CAUTION
Ketanov Injection should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Ketanov Injection may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Use of Ketanov Injection is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease and active liver disease. Inform your doctor if you develop any signs or symptoms of jaundice while taking this medicine.

Intra articluar injection can be given for pain relief
From last two months I am suffering from impacted wisdom teeth. Undergone OPG and found four teeth. I have epilepsy and on multiple anti-epileptics drugs. Presently I developed severe pain and stiffness in jaw with fever. I have suggested to take Augmentin 625 TDS which eventually not worked and Dr. Changed it to Taxim O 200 and then to Cifran 750 BD along with Ketanov 10mg BD. Though my pain and jaw stiffness are not subsided. Shall I have to undergo a tooth extraction with GENERAL ANASTHASIA as I have epilepsy and no doctor is willing to do by Local. What shall I do?
