Hyocimax-S Tablet should be taken on an empty stomach or at least 30-60 minutes before a meal. Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. This medicine should be taken at the same time each day to get the maximum benefit. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you are also prescribed with antacids, then maintain a gap of at least 1 hour between two medicines.

Constipation, dryness in the mouth and headache are some common side effects of this medicine. Most of these usually go away within a short time. If you are bothered by them or they go on for longer, talk to your doctor or nurse. It is advisable to stay hydrated or drink plenty of fluids to overcome mouth dryness and headache. You should not drive if this medicine makes you feel dizzy.

Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have a history of liver or kidney disease or have history of ulcerative colitis. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should also consult their doctor before taking this medicine. Let your doctor know about all other medications you are taking as some may affect, or be affected by, this medicine.

Treatment of Irritable bowel syndrome
Irritable bowel syndrome is a chronic inflammatory disease of the large intestine (colon) that usually needs long-term management. This can lead to bleeding, frequent diarrhea, bloating, flatulence, cramps and stomach pain. Hyocimax-S Tablet relaxes the muscles in your stomach and gut (intestine) and relieves these symptoms effectively. Usually, it is used along with other medicines for the management of your condition. Continue taking it for as long as the doctor may advise you to. You need to take this medicine regularly to get the most out of it. Take a fiber-rich diet, avoid oily or spicy food and drink plenty of fluids while taking it to make sure you stay hydrated.

Pain relief
Hyocimax-S Tablet reduces secretions in the stomach such as acid secretions and improves movement of muscles of the stomach and gut (intestine). This effectively relieves pain, sudden muscle spasms or contractions in the stomach and intestine, thereby relaxing the muscles and improving movement of food. It helps to treat abdominal pain (or stomach pain) as well as cramps, bloating and discomfort. Take it as it is prescribed to get the most benefit. Eventually, it will help you to go about your daily activities more easily and have a better, more active, quality of life.

Treatment of Peptic ulcer disease
Hyocimax-S Tablet is used to treat peptic ulcers. It reduces the amount of acid your stomach makes which prevents further damage to the ulcer as it heals naturally. You may be given other medicines depending on what caused the ulcer. You need to keep taking the medicine as it is prescribed for it to be effective, even if the symptoms seem to disappear. It may also be prescribed to prevent ulcers from forming by reducing the amount of acid in the stomach.

Taking Hyocimax-S with any of the following medicines can modify the effect of either of them and cause some undesirable side effects

Hyoscyamine has no known harmful interaction with active ingredients in Benadryl, Xanax (alprazolam), Prevacid (lansoprazole), omeprazole, ibuprofen, Tylenol (acetaminophen) or Aleve (naproxen). Please inform your doctor about all medication you are currently taking to avoid any harmful drug interaction

Can I take Imodium/ Bentyl/ Percocet with Hyocimax-S Tablet?

Concomitant use of Hyocimax-S Tablet with Imodium (loperamide), Bentyl (dicyclomine) and Percocet (acetaminophen + oxycodone) can cause harmful drug interactions and should be avoided. Please inform your doctor about all medication you are currently taking to avoid any harmful drug interaction

Does Hyocimax-S Tablet cause or stop diarrhea?

Treatment with Hyocimax-S Tablet may be helpful in controlling diarrhea associated with bowel spams; however, it can aggravate constipation. Contact your doctor immediately if you experience diarrhea as a side effect of Hyocimax-S Tablet treatment

Does Hyocimax-S Tablet help with gas/ nausea?

Hyocimax-S Tablet may provide relief from gas or nausea if they are symptoms of intestinal bowel syndrome or other gastrointestinal problems for which Hyocimax-S Tablet is given as a treatment. Nausea is also a common side effect of Hyocimax-S Tablet treatment
