Uses of Hycin Tablet
Hycin 50 mg Tablet is used in the treatment of bacterial infections. It is used in infections of tonsils, sinus, ear, nose, throat, skin and soft tissues, windpipe and lungs (pneumonia).

How to use Hycin Tablet
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Hycin 50 mg Tablet is to be taken empty stomach.
How Hycin Tablet works
Hycin 50 mg Tablet is an antibiotic. It works by preventing synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions. Thus, it stops the bacteria from growing, and prevents the infection from spreading.

Lactation

Hycin 50 mg Tablet is safe to use during lactation. Human studies have shown that either the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in significant amount or is not expected to cause toxicity to the baby.
Driving
Hycin 50 mg Tablet may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Kidney
Hycin 50 mg Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Hycin 50 mg Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
Liver
CAUTION
Hycin 50 mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Hycin 50 mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
What if you miss a dose of Hycin Tablet?
If you miss a dose of Hycin 50 mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Hycin is to be taken on an empty stomach at least 15 minutes before a meal. The Hycin tablets should be taken with good amount of water.

Hycin is used to treat throat infection caused by Streptococcus pyogenes. It is also indicated for other upper respiratory tract infections like tonsillitis and sinusitis.
