It can be taken with or without food, but it is better to take Fumac 3% w/w gel at a fixed time.
Interaction with alcohol is unknown. Please consult your doctor.
Fumac 3% w/w gel may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Either animal studies have shown adverse effect on fetus and there are no human studies or studies in human and animals are not available. It should be given only if potential benefits justifies risk to the fetus. Please consult your doctor.

Felbinac Topical(3% w/w)


Fumac 3% w/w gel is used to relieve of muscle and joint pain caused by injury or inflammation.

How it works

Felbinac belongs to a group of medications called as non-steroid anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). It acts by blocking the production of a certain chemical substance in the body that is responsible for causing pain and inflammation in joints and muscles.

Common side effects

Increased sensitivity to light, Rash of purple spots on the skin, Anaphylactic reaction, Angioedema (swelling of deeper layers of skin), Eye swelling, Lip swelling, Burning sensation, Discoloration of skin, Shortness of breath, Asthma, Skin irritation, Skin redness, Itching, Pricking sensation, Numbness, Tingling sensation

Expert advice for FUMAC

  • Do not apply near eyes, nose, lips and mouth, genital areas and any damaged skin.
  • Hands should be washed after the application of this medicine, unless they are the treatment area.
  • Stop using felbinac if you develop rash.
  • Do not apply with other topical preparations at the same site.
  • Avoid excessive exposure of treated areas to sunlight.
  • Do not apply in large amount as it may cause severe allergic reaction, asthma and kidney disease.
  • Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant or breastfeeding. 
  • Patients allergic to felbinac or any of its ingredients.
  • It should not take if patient is 
  • with any history of attacks of asthma, urticaria (itchy rash) or acute rhinitis due to medicines like aspirin or other NSAIDs.
  • It sholud not given to children below 12 years of age.
