Fexina 30 mg Syrup is used in the treatment of allergic conditions. It is used to relieve the symptoms that occur with seasonal allergic rhinitis such as sneezing, itchy, runny or blocked nose and itchy, red and watery eyes.

How to use Fexina Syrup

How Fexina Syrup works

Fexina 30 mg Syrup is an antihistaminic medication. It treats allergy symptoms such as such as itching, swelling, and rashes by blocking the effects of a chemical messenger (histamine) in the body.

Alcohol
CAUTION
Fexina 30 mg Syrup may cause excessive drowsiness and calmness with alcohol.
Pregnancy

Fexina 30 mg Syrup may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation
SAFE
Fexina 30 mg Syrup is safe to use during lactation. Human studies have shown that either the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in significant amount or is not expected to cause toxicity to the baby.
Because of low milk levels and lack of sleepiness, use of Fexina 30 mg Syrup would not be expected to cause any adverse effects in breastfed babies.
Driving
SAFE
Fexina 30 mg Syrup does not usually affect your ability to drive.
Kidney
CAUTION
Fexina 30 mg Syrup should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Fexina 30 mg Syrup may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
May cause excessive sleepiness in patients with end stage kidney disease.
Liver
Fexina 30 mg Syrup is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Fexina 30 mg Syrup may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.

For kids, Montair LC is available as Montair LC KID tablet and Montair LC KID syrup. It contains Montelukast (4mg) and Levocetrizine (2.5mg). Montelukast is used to prevent and treat asthma, seasonal and year round allergies (hay fever), and prevent exercise-induced asthma. Levocetirizine is used to treat symptoms of allergic conditions such as allergic fever (hay fever), year-round allergies like dust or pet allergies and chronic nettle rash.
