eVALon Cream is identical to a female hormone, estriol (a type of estrogen). It is used to treat symptoms associated with menopause. This topical preparation helps to treat vaginal burning, dryness, and itching caused by a lack of estriol or estrogen.


You should use eVALon Cream in the way your doctor advises. It may depend on whether you have had any kind of hormonal replacement treatment (HRT) before. Common side effects of eVALon Cream include fluid retention, nausea, breast discomfort, and pain (mastalgia), postmenopausal spotting (vaginal bleeding), cervical discharge (vaginal discharge), and vaginal irritation. When you have too little of this hormone (after menopause), the vaginal wall can become thin and dry. This can make sexual intercourse painful and you may get vaginal infections. Estriol will help relieve vaginal dryness, inflammation, and itching that may occur after menopause. It may take a few weeks before you notice an improvement so keep using the medicine even if you think it is not working to get the full benefits. It has very few side effects and will also make you less likely to have vaginal or urinary infections.
