Interaction with drugs

Taking Edicef with any of the following medicines can modify the effect of either of them and cause some undesirable side effects

Severe

Cholera Vaccine (Inactivated) (Oral Route)

Do not consume Cholera Vaccine (Inactivated) two weeks before and at least 10 days after consuming Cefotaxime. Please consult your doctor. Cefotaxime may reduce the efficacy of Cholera Vaccine (Inactivated).

Severe

Purified Vi Polysaccharide Typhoid Vaccine (Injection Route)

Cefotaxime may reduce the efficacy of Purified Vi Polysaccharide Typhoid Vaccine. Cefotaxime may reduce the efficacy of Purified Vi Polysaccharide Typhoid Vaccine.

Amikacin (Injection Route)

Your doctor may monitor your kidney function regularly.
